Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT) is the first international university located in the heart of Central Asia to offer a Western-style education with UK qualifications. WIUT was established in 2002 in partnership with the University of Westminster (UK, London) and the Government of Uzbekistan and was the first university to provide internationally accredited degrees in Central Asia. WIUT is a young university with an established presence and high reputation in Uzbekistan and a growing international reputation. An alumni body of over 2,000, a growing number of employers hiring the students of WIUT, corporate clients and growing research output can demonstrate the level of success of the university. Ninety percent of WIUT graduates have gained employment within the first six months of graduation.
