The Academy of the General Prosecutors Office (AGPO) of the Republic of Uzbekistan was established in 1992. The Academy is an educational and research institution. The main goal of the Academy is to organize an effective system of training, retraining and advanced training of employees of the prosecutor’s office and other personnel, as well as to conduct fundamental and applied scientific research. Academy conducts: In-service training, retraining and advanced training of personnel of the prosecutorial authorities; Grant based training and contract-based, master’s degree and the issuance of state diplomas; Professional retraining of candidates for positions in the prosecution authorities in the form of primary specialization; Professional retraining of reserve personnel to fill leading positions; Professional development of government officials and organizations on cooperation in the field of crime prevention and combatting crime and corruption under short-term programs; Training of scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel of higher qualification in accordance with the legislation. The Academy has 7 chairs, 10 departments and 4 centers.
